Singleator Chain Tensioner

Description |

The Surly Singleator is a chain tensioner made for single speed setups using frames with vertical dropouts. It mounts directly to a derailleur hanger and gives riders a simple and adjustable way to take up excess chain slack when a frame does not allow traditional chain tension adjustment. Surly developed it for single speed drivetrains and describes it as one of its original products for riders getting into derailleur free bikes.

The main body is forged for strength, and the design includes a triple sealed spring, chain guides, a floating pulley, a stainless steel pivot bushing, and a fully adjustable chainline.
